Proposals of Rail Transit Network and Xiangshan Bridge Approved

The State Council has approved the Ningbo's proposal of building a rapid rail transit network, said a news release given by the city government the other day. The Line No.1 is to be completed by 2014. In addition, the project feasibility report of the Xiangshan Bridge has been approved by the state reform and development commission too. The light rail line No. 1 runs from the Gaoqiao Town in the west to the outer ring road in the east, going through Wangchun Road, West Zhongshan Road and East Zhongshan Road, totaling 21.3 kilometers. There will be 19 stations along the line. The phase-2 project will stretch to Beilun, with a length of 23.3 kilometers and with 7 stations along the way.
