Huashan Primary School
Located in the central urban area of
Beilun district, Huashan Primary School was founded on
September 1,  1999 by the NETD. It
boasts the beautiful environment and rational layout of
the campus. Since founded, it has won a series of
honorable titles for teaching, civilization
construction, environmental protection etc.
Now
there are altogether 26 classes with 1,269 pupils; The
school has a united, moral, skillful and innovative
professional team made up of 61 staff members, 62% of
whom got the title of " Advanced Teacher" and 52% of
whom won other honorary titles of district level or
above and 84% of whom got the associate degree or above;
The scenic campus is just like a big garden with the
general construction area and green area being
6800m2 and 5400m2 respectively;
The school has set up campus network system,
closed-circuit TV, broadcasting system and a TV studio.
Every classroom is equipped with a projector, a computer
and a projector, thus making multimedia teaching
possible. It has built the high standard lab, open
reading-room and some special rooms for music, painting,
calligraphy,  working skills, English
listening, physique training and electronic organ etc.
The sports facilities include two standard basketball
courts, two volleyball courts, large amusement
facilities and a high-standard table-tennis gym. The
school is especially famous for its table-tennis
tradition so it serves as a training base for teenager
players in Ningbo and Zhejiang province. The plastic
track project is now under planning.
Under the
guidance of "Having a leap-forward development
moderately, adapting actively and developing
independently", the school strives to form new school
culture and new style of studying and teaching and
explore the modern educational pattern. The school
sticks to the educational reform by bettering curriculum
installment, the evaluation system and teaching methods
etc. As a result of these efforts, the school has made
great achievements in various aspects in recent years.
There are 130 teaching papers published or winning prize
on the city or provincial level; The school became an
example of educational reform and an experimental unit
for direct election of  the headmaster in Beilun
District; The moral education presents satisfying
results and some honorary titles were conferred on the
school in this regard; Based on the strategy of "Quality
First", an effective quality assurance system has come
into being. In recent years, the school has always
ranked in the leading position on various contests and
examinations for the students' excellent
performance.
